Daily Valuation Analyst
This position is responsible for reconciling cash accounts, processing transactions and working closely with multiple departments within the firm. Responsibilities also include reviewing and approving trades, loans, check requests, and distributions, along with other daily activities associated with retirement plan administration. As knowledge, experience and abilities progress, the candidates may be assigned clients to oversee and manage. They are also often assigned to the call center to answer participants' questions about their plans. Strong customer service and computer skills are required. Candidates must be organized, self-motivated, detail oriented and possess excellent communication skills. An accounting background or experience is helpful. Promotion opportunities are based solely on merit, and the average length of time spent in this position varies but is normally six to eighteen months.
Pension Administrator
This position is responsible for the oversight of the daily operation of assigned plans and serves as the primary contact for designated clients. To advance from the Daily Valuation Analyst position to the Pension Administrator position, candidates must display that they have mastered the Daily Valuation Analyst position. They must have proven their ability to handle competing deadlines with efficiency. They must also have demonstrated a solid foundation and understanding of the current tax codes, a proven track record of providing excellent customer service as well as the ability to forecast their clients' needs and concerns. Candidates are often asked to handle some of the call center's more complex questions. The ability to work independently and take initiative, and to lead by example while upholding the company's core values is also critical to this position. Promotional opportunities are based solely on merit, and the average length of time in this position varies, but is typically three years.
Senior Pension Administrator
This position is responsible for administering retirement plans of assigned corporate clients and ensuring the delivery of quality service. This entails working independently, as well as working closely with multiple employees to meet expected deadlines. As the employee develops within the firm, responsibilities may also include supervisory/training duties and presentations to plan participants.
To advance, employees should have accounting, administrative and client service experience and possess strong communication, organization, analytical and interpersonal skills. They must be customer-service oriented, self-motivated, detail oriented and proficient in Microsoft Office. Promotion opportunities are based solely on merit, and the average length of time spent in this position varies but is typically five years.
Consultant/Senior Manager
This position is responsible for retaining existing clients and acquiring new clients/business. This involves developing, maintaining and managing relationships with referring sources and existing clients. The employee manages the day-to-day responsibilities for multiple clients by providing technical support in various areas of pension and welfare benefits plans. The employee also ensures a high level of customer service by staying current in the technical aspects of managing pension and welfare plans.
